WHY IGNORANCE IS NOT BLISS
IGNORANCE IS NEVER BLISS ITS PAINFUL
STUDENTS REQUESTED SPONTANEOUS EXCHANGE AND INTERCHANGE IN MY LANGUAGE CLASSES. THE TOPICS INCLUDED FINANCING, CREDIT SCORES, EMOTIONS, PETS, POLITICS, AGENCIES IN THE COMMUNITES, FAMILY, MEN/WOMEN RELATIONSHIPS, FOODS, CARS, AND INTERESTS. THE REACTIONS OF STUDENTS VARIED. I FOCUSED ON CRITICAL THINKING FROM AN EDUCATIONAL POINT OF VIEW. SOME STUDENTS IN THE CLASS REACTED NEGATIVELY TO THE TOPICS AND WERE VERY UNHAPPY. I'M POWERLESS OF STUDENTS REACTIONS. I'M AN EDUCATOR AND FOLLOWED THE STUDENTS REQUEST FOR SPONTANEOUS ENGLISH EXCHANGE. THE ENGLISH EXCHANGE PRODUCED AWARENESS AS WELL AS SOME UNHAPPY STUDENTS. MY JOB ENDED BECAUSE OF THE EMOTIONAL REACTIONS OF THE STUDENTS TO THE TOPICS. THE EXCHANGE WAS SIGNIFICANT IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS ABILITY TO SPONTANEOUSLY RESPOND IN CONVERSATION. IT WORKED WELL REGARDLESS OF STUDENTS FEELINGS AS IT REFLECTS THEIR EMOTIONS. THE PRACTICE OF SPONTANEOUS CONVERSATIONAL EXCHANGE IS ESSENTIAL IN RAISING AWARENESS, TRANSFORMATION AND TO INDIVIDUAL ISSUES AND IGNORANCE. EDUCATIONAL POLITICS HAS NO ROOM IN MAINTAINING IGNORANCE. IGNORANCE IS NOT BLISS BUT IS HURTFUL, TRAUMATIC AND PAINFUL.BEST
